This appointment recognises his strong contributions in building and scaling strategic partnerships across banking, airports, wallets, gift cards, and transaction led marketing. In this new position, Akshayy will guide Razorpay’s international partnership agenda, strengthen distribution ecosystems, and support growth across the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions.
Over the past three years at Razorpay, Akshayy has played an important role in the success of Razorpay Engage, which is India’s first payments powered growth marketing suite for banking and merchant ecosystems. He has built major alliances with banking networks, issuers, and large enterprise merchants, helping expand Razorpay’s global reach and partnership driven innovation. His work has supported new collaborations and ecosystem synergies across fast growing international markets.
Before joining Razorpay, Akshayy was part of the founding and leadership team at a loyalty and benefits company, where he led global banking alliances and helped expand the organisation across India, South Asia, the Middle East, and the APAC region. During his time there, the company completed several strategic acquisitions and widened its offerings across lifestyle, airport, health, and wellness sectors. Earlier in his journey, he worked as a business consultant at a health services company, where he supported client acquisition efforts and the company’s merger with his previous organisation.
Akshayy began his career at a risk consulting firm that is part of a global services company. There he worked on risk advisory and compliance reviews for multinational clients, gaining strong analytical and operational experience early in his career.
He is a graduate of a well known management institute where he completed his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. Akshayy’s strategic mindset and experience in building cross border alliances are expected to support Razorpay’s next phase of international expansion and ecosystem innovation.
