Spotify to raise US subscription prices in early 2026

Spotify is preparing to increase its subscription prices in the United States during the first quarter of next year, according to a report shared by a common daily. The move will mark the platform’s first price hike in the US since June 2024.

Earlier in August, the streaming service announced a price increase from 10.99 euros to 11.99 euros per month in several regions, including South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Latin America and the Asia Pacific. The upcoming adjustment in the United States extends this global trend as Spotify continues to rely on pricing changes to support revenue growth.

In recent years, Spotify has increased subscription fees across more than 150 markets, confident that its strong presence will keep users on the platform. The company reported better than expected profit forecasts for the fourth quarter earlier this month, driven by strong user growth and a boost expected from holiday season subscriptions.

The planned US price hike is expected to further strengthen Spotify’s earnings as it continues expanding its offerings and global customer base.
