Coforge launches Forge X, an AI native engineering platform to transform software delivery

Coforge Limited has introduced Forge X, an integrated engineering and delivery platform designed on Agentic AI principles to redefine how software is built and delivered. The platform uses autonomous AI agents that apply the firm’s engineering expertise and industry depth to support large scale technology transformation projects.

Developed by the Advanced Engineering Services Unit, Forge X follows an AI native approach across both the software development and product development lifecycles. Its goal is to help clients build future ready digital platforms with faster time to market, stronger resiliency and optimised engineering costs. The platform also brings precision, agility and a high degree of industrialisation to product development.

Forge X serves as the core of Coforge’s AI driven software development. It provides intelligent delivery capabilities through an ecosystem of tools, agentic assistants and collaborative platforms. It coordinates teams across different regions, uses domain specific knowledge and connects with third party systems such as Jira, LeanIX, Ardoq and ServiceNow. With agents supporting roles such as product owners, architects, developers, testers and operations teams, Forge X ensures that every stage of development is context aware, automated and aligned with business goals.

The platform is built on three main pillars. The first pillar embeds Coforge’s industry knowledge into the engineering process so that decisions reflect domain understanding, tools work with contextual insight and deliverables meet both business and technical needs. The second pillar comprises a collection of specialised AI agents created to solve engineering challenges. These agents are updated based on real project feedback and are designed to improve intelligence, productivity and agile performance. The third pillar includes a wide set of industrial grade tools and accelerators dedicated to engineering tasks.

These tools include CodeInsightAI, a generative AI powered solution for reverse and forward engineering that reduces risks linked to undocumented systems and supports transformation through meaningful insights. BlueSwan is an AI led assurance and quality engineering platform. NORTHSTAR supports continuous integration and delivery with complete observability. EvolveOps AI is an autonomous operations platform that manages the lifecycle of hybrid cloud resources from design and analysis to autonomous issue resolution.

Sunil Fernandes, Executive Vice President and Chief Delivery Officer at Coforge, said, “Coforge’s AI native approach is not confined to tools, it is a philosophy ingrained into every phase of software development. From requirements to design to deployment, each stage is optimized through embedded intelligence, contextual awareness, and agentic collaboration. This is more than a methodology or an efficiency play; it is a paradigm shift where software development and engineering is re imagined, becomes faster, smarter, efficient and truly transformative.”

He added, “Forge X is the embodiment of our engineering first, AI forward mindset in our delivery operations. Our four stage framework onboarding, enablement, scaling, and self governance ensures enterprises embed AI sustainably into daily workflows, turning capability into impact. With Forge X, we ensure that AI native software development and product development is not just a vision, it is a lived reality across the organization and for our clients.”

The launch of Forge X strengthens Coforge’s position as a company with strong execution, industry specialisation and advanced engineering expertise, supported by investments in talent and innovation to help clients succeed in an AI driven environment.
