Adobe integrates Nano Banana Pro AI model into Photoshop and Firefly

Adobe announced on Monday that it has integrated the Nano Banana Pro artificial intelligence model into Photoshop and Firefly. The model, which is powered by Gemini 3, was introduced on Friday by Google.

Adobe confirmed the integration within a week of the model’s launch. Nano Banana Pro will now be part of the wide range of third party AI models available through Photoshop and the Firefly app. The company is also offering unlimited AI image generation for paid subscribers until December 1.

In a press release, the software company said Nano Banana Pro can now be used across both platforms. This comes two weeks after Adobe and Google revealed a strategic partnership under which Adobe will provide access to Google’s frontier AI models across its mobile and desktop apps for its global user base.

The company added that Creative Cloud Pro and Firefly plan subscribers will receive unlimited image generations using Firefly models and third party models in the Firefly app until December 1.

Within the Firefly app, users can choose Nano Banana Pro in the text to image feature. The model is also available in Firefly Boards, the AI powered moodboarding surface that helps users brainstorm, organise ideas and visualise concepts. Firefly allows users to upload up to six reference images and type a prompt to merge and refine these elements into a single composition.

In Photoshop, Google’s latest AI image model will enhance the Generative Fill tool. Users can type prompts to make specific edits, generate high resolution images up to four thousand resolution, and create creative variations of an existing image. This includes text based edits such as adjusting lighting or applying different styles.

Nano Banana Pro becomes the third partner model integrated into this feature, following Nano Banana which is powered by Gemini two point five and Black Forest Labs FLUX point one Kontext bracket pro bracket.
