Schneider Electric has announced a partnership with Vellore Institute of Technology to establish a Centre of Excellence in smart city and smart factory technologies at the VIT campus in Vellore.
The company stated that the centre will focus on innovation, research, and skill development in emerging fields that are important for India’s digital and sustainable future. The initiative highlights Schneider Electric’s commitment to supporting next generation talent and creating opportunities for students to work with advanced technologies shaping future industries.
The first batch will include one thousand one hundred students, with plans to expand the number significantly in the coming years.
“Through this CoE, we aim to create a vibrant platform where ideas evolve into real world applications driving innovation, research, and entrepreneurship in domains that will shape the smart cities and industries of the future,” said Deepak Sharma, Zone President Greater India and MD and CEO of Schneider Electric India.
