This appointment represents a major milestone in his professional journey across luxury, consumer brands and global fashion houses. In this global role, Dario will guide client strategy, brand positioning, commercial growth and marketing innovation for one of the world’s most influential luxury brands.
Before joining Gucci, Dario spent nearly seven years at Bottega Veneta. His most recent role was CEO Greater China, based in Shanghai, where he played a key part in strengthening brand equity, elevating customer experience and driving commercial acceleration in one of the world’s most important luxury markets. Earlier, he served as Chief Marketing and Digital Business Officer and before that as Chief Marketing Officer, where he shaped the brand’s digital transformation, client engagement and creative marketing direction worldwide.
Prior to his work at Bottega Veneta, Dario led global brand and marketing transformation at Diesel as Chief Marketing Officer. During this period, he oversaw culturally impactful and award winning campaigns such as “Go With The Flaw” and “DEISEL.” These campaigns gained global acclaim for their creative disruption and bold storytelling within the fashion industry.
Before entering the luxury sector, Dario spent close to twelve years at Heineken. He advanced through several marketing leadership roles including Premium Brand Director Brazil, Global Marketing Communication Manager and Global Social Media Manager. His work during these years earned multiple Cannes Lions awards for standout campaigns such as “The Candidate,” “Meet the World in One City,” “The Dream Island” and “Family Secret,” establishing him as a recognised creative and strategic marketing leader.
Dario began his career through internships and early commercial roles at Missoni, Aethra Telecommunications and Heineken Italy. These experiences helped shape his cross cultural leadership style and deep understanding of consumer behaviour, global retail and brand building.
