Honor previews its Robot Phone with gimbal camera ahead of global debut

Honor has given an early look at its Robot Phone concept ahead of its global unveiling at Mobile World Congress twenty twenty six. The company showcased the prototype at the Honor User Carnival in China. The Robot Phone includes a gimbal camera that sits on a robotic arm attached to the back of the device. It can rotate automatically to track subjects and record video. The device was displayed in three colours.

Design and expected colour options

Images of the Robot Phone have appeared on a common platform, offering a detailed view of the prototype. According to user reports, the phone was shown inside a glass case at the event in China. It appeared in Black, White, and Gold colours with either a leather or glass back, depending on the finish.

The design of the Robot Phone resembles the iPhone seventeen Pro and the Magic eight series. It has rounded corners and a flat frame. There is also a glass section below the camera island. The main highlight is the gimbal stabilised camera. It sits within the rear camera module and extends outward when it is activated. The camera works like standard gimbals. It can track subjects and adjust movements automatically through AI.

The gimbal camera is expected to help vloggers and content creators. It supports hands free video recording without any tripod. The rotating module uses AI to keep the subject centred while recording.

The movable camera module appears to include a USB Type C port for external accessories. Another USB Type C port is visible on the bottom edge of the phone.

Honor has not announced any sale or availability timeline for the Robot Phone. However, the company will showcase it at Mobile World Congress twenty twenty six in Barcelona, Spain. Honor first hinted at this device during the launch of the Honor Magic eight and Magic eight Pro.
