Ray Ban Meta Glasses now available in India through major online platforms

Ray Ban Meta Glasses are now on sale in India through leading online marketplaces. The smart glasses, created in collaboration with EssilorLuxottica, were first introduced in May. Until now, customers could buy them only through the official Ray Ban website and selected optical and sunglasses stores across the country. The glasses feature a twelve megapixel ultra wide camera, open ear speakers, and microphones. These allow users to take photos and videos, listen to music, and have conversations while on the move.

Ray Ban Meta Glasses price in India and availability

The starting price in India is Rs. 29900 for the Skyler and Wayfarer designs in the Shiny Black colour option. A twenty percent discount and bank offers bring the effective price to Rs. 23920. Buyers can choose from several frame styles and can select prescription, sun, polarised, or Transitions lenses.

Customers can now buy the Ray Ban Meta Glasses through Amazon, Flipkart, and Reliance Digital. This is part of the company’s plan to reach a wider audience in India.

Ray Ban Meta Glasses features and specifications

The glasses include a twelve megapixel camera and an LED light placed inside two circular cutouts on each side of the frame. The LED light also works as a recording indicator when a video is being captured. The glasses can take photos at a resolution of up to three thousand and twenty four by four thousand and thirty two pixels. They can record one thousand and eighty p videos for up to sixty seconds.

The company says the recorded videos can be shared on Meta apps such as Facebook and Instagram. Users can also share them on other platforms through the Meta View app.

The Ray Ban Meta Glasses use the Meta AI assistant. Users can activate hands free actions with the voice prompt “Hey Meta AI”. The glasses also support real time speech translation between English and Spanish, French, or Italian. Users can say “Hey Meta, start live translation” to begin. The translated audio is played through the open ear speakers. A written transcription is also available.

The glasses run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 Gen1 Platform SoC and offer thirty two GB of internal storage. They provide up to four hours of battery life on a single charge, with an additional thirty two hours from the charging case. The glasses have IPX4 splash resistance.
