Zoomcar has announced a partnership with Google Cloud to integrate Generative AI and Machine Learning into its car-sharing platform. This move is aimed at improving the booking process for customers, streamlining vehicle onboarding for hosts, and enhancing overall safety on the platform.
In a statement, Zoomcar shared that it has implemented Google Cloud’s Vertex AI and Gemini models to deploy AI agents across various stages of the customer and host journeys. These AI-driven systems are already showing results in terms of better user experience and improved operational efficiency.
One of the key developments in this collaboration is the launch of Host Assist, an AI-powered assistant that helps new hosts navigate the onboarding process. Built using the Gemini Flash 2.0 model and a Retrieval-Augmented Generation framework, Host Assist provides round-the-clock, policy-aware support. According to Zoomcar, this feature has helped reduce the average onboarding time by 30 percent. “Hosting a car on Zoomcar comes with its nuances,” the company said. “Host Assist clarifies the process by delivering instant, 24X7 policy-aware guidance.”
Zoomcar is also working on another tool called the Host Intelligence Engine. This solution offers personalised insights to help hosts increase their earnings. The engine provides data-based pricing suggestions and benchmarks host performance against top-performing peers to recommend areas of improvement.
In addition, the company is using AI to minimise host-driven cancellations. By analysing host-guest conversations, the system identifies the party responsible during disputes. This helps Zoomcar take corrective action with hosts and enhance guest satisfaction.
To further improve the quality of guest experience, Zoomcar has introduced a real-time fraud detection engine, built on its Customer Data Platform. The system reviews user identity documents, KYC information, and selfies to detect any suspicious activity. The company expects this tool to significantly improve the accuracy of fraud detection and increase trust across its user base.
This partnership with Google Cloud reflects Zoomcar’s ongoing efforts to embed advanced technology into its platform, aiming to deliver a safer, smarter, and more seamless experience for both car owners and renters.
