In a move aligned with its evolving vision for the future, Zoom has brought on board Kimberly Storin as its new Chief Marketing Officer, setting the stage for a refreshed brand journey powered by AI, innovation, and deeper human connection.
Storin steps into this leadership role with a legacy of impactful marketing leadership, most recently as CMO at a leading communications infrastructure company, where she served since 2021. Her impressive resume also includes key marketing positions at a global software platform, as well as at tech giants like IBM, AMD, and Dell, experiences that have carved her into a strategic thinker in the fast-paced digital space.
At Zoom, Kimberly will lead a comprehensive portfolio, spanning brand strategy, communications, product marketing, enterprise solutions, and regional outreach. She takes over from Janine Pelosi, who exited the company in 2023 to assume the CEO position at a competing tech brand. Zoom has not confirmed whether the role remained open during this transition.
Expressing her excitement on LinkedIn, Storin wrote:
“Long before stepping into this role, I was a passionate Zoom customer, both in business and personally. I’ve trusted Zoom for everything from critical enterprise meetings to large-scale all hands and SKOs to connecting with friends and family. I’ve seen firsthand how it transforms the way people work, collaborate, and communicate.”
She added, “Now, with AI at the core of a secure and trusted platform, Zoom is shaping the future of connection in ways far beyond video. I’m excited to help tell that story, alongside an incredible team, as we unlock the next chapter of growth and innovation.”
Her arrival coincides with a critical moment for Zoom, which reported a solid $4.6 billion in total revenue for the fiscal year ending January 31, 2025, a 3.1% year-over-year growth, reflecting the platform’s enduring relevance even as offices reopen.
Founder and CEO Eric S. Yuan recently reinforced the company’s ambition to become an “AI-first company,” with its Zoom AI Companion leading the charge in transforming collaboration across industries. He noted in the company’s earnings update:
“As Zoom AI Companion becomes increasingly agentic, we look forward to continuing to help our customers fully realize the benefits of AI and discover what’s possible with AI agents.”
Kimberly’s appointment signals a strategic leap as Zoom gears up to communicate this next-gen transformation to the world, combining intelligent tech with human-centered storytelling.
