Zoho Upgrades AI-Powered Document Scanner with Multi-Language Support and Smarter Features

Zoho has introduced the upgraded version of Zoho Scanner, an AI-powered document scanning app built to deliver a smarter and more connected document management experience for both individuals and enterprises. The app now goes beyond basic scanning by using AI to auto-detect edges, enhance image quality, remove background noise, and extract text with greater accuracy through its built-in OCR technology.

One of the key updates is multi-language support for more than 22 languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, and Urdu. This feature will make it easier for businesses and government offices to instantly translate documents in regional languages. With AI-enabled organisation through auto-tagging and categorisation, the app aims to simplify digital filing for users.

As part of the Zoho productivity suite, the scanner allows seamless synchronisation across mobile and web platforms, helping bridge workflow gaps. A redesigned interface makes navigation easier, and upcoming support for formats such as invoices, certificates, IDs, and business cards will expand its usability. Future integration with Zoho CRM, WorkDrive, and Expense is also planned.

Zoho highlighted that the app follows a privacy-first and AI-driven approach. The company clarified that while it does not intend to compete with platforms like ChatGPT, the upgrades will significantly streamline business processes and automate repetitive tasks.

Zoho Scanner Pro is priced at 999 rupees annually, with a 50 percent discount on annual plans available until December 15, 2025. The app is now accessible on iOS, Android, and the web.
