Zepto Launches 10 Minute Medicine Delivery Service in Four Major Cities

Quick commerce company Zepto has entered the fast growing online pharmacy sector in India with a new service that delivers medicines within 10 minutes. Co founder and chief executive officer Aadit Palicha announced the launch on a social media platform.

The service, named Zepto Pharmacy, is now available in selected areas of Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Palicha shared that the company had worked for 12 months to refine the service before making it public. He emphasised that the focus would be on maintaining strong operational standards rather than rushing into a rapid scale up.

“Today, we are formally announcing the launch of Zepto Pharmacy, medicines delivered in 10 minutes,” Palicha wrote. He added that if executed well, this service could bring significant benefits to millions of customers across the country.

With this move, Zepto will now compete with established players in the online medicine delivery market including Tata 1MG, PharmEasy, Apollo Pharmacy and Wellness Forever.

According to a market research firm, India’s online pharmacy industry was valued at 3.18 billion US dollars in 2024 and is projected to reach 12.71 billion US dollars by 2033.

Zepto’s entry into this competitive market comes at a time when demand for quick access to medicines is rising across urban areas in India. The company aims to use its quick commerce expertise to deliver an efficient and reliable pharmacy service.
