Quick commerce platform Zepto is expanding its product experience with new in-app features, signalling a shift from speed-focused delivery to more intelligent, behaviour-led commerce.
Zepto has launched a ‘Pay Later’ facility along with features like real-time product visuals and flexible order additions. The move reflects a broader strategy to reduce everyday shopping friction and improve user convenience.
The newly introduced ‘Pay Later’ feature offers instant credit of up to ₹10,000 with a 15-day interest-free repayment cycle. Built directly into the app, it enables one-tap checkout without OTPs or third-party redirects, making the purchase process faster and smoother for frequent, low-value transactions.
“Meet Zepto Pay Later, a BNPL experience built completely inside the Zepto app. Shopping is now going to be smoother than ever. It’s already live for a small percentage, and we plan to scale this up to the entire user base very soon,” said Kaivalya Vohra.
Alongside this, Zepto has introduced ‘Real Lens’, a feature that displays daily-updated, timestamped images of fresh produce from nearby stores. Users can switch between standard catalogue images and real visuals, helping bridge the online trust gap and reduce returns or complaints.
Another addition is the ‘Add After Checkout’ feature, which allows users to include missed items in an existing order within a limited time window. This eliminates the need to place a separate order while maintaining the original delivery schedule.
The company noted that the quick commerce industry is moving beyond the “race to the fastest 10 minutes” and focusing more on improving the overall shopping experience through smarter, user-centric innovations.
These updates position Zepto to compete not just on speed, but on convenience, trust, and seamless user journeys.
