A leadership transition signals a new growth chapter for Zenex Animal Health as the company strengthens its strategic direction in the animal healthcare sector. With over 25 years of experience across animal health, pharmaceuticals, CDMO, women’s health, OTC, and strategic operations, Aniruddha brings a strong blend of leadership and domain expertise. He holds an M. Pharm and an MBA.
In his new role, Rajurkar will lead all organisational functions and work closely with the Board to drive execution excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth.
Welcoming the appointment, Renuka Ramnath, Chairperson of Zenex Animal Health and Founder, MD & CEO of Multiples Alternate Asset Management, said his proven leadership track record and strategic insight position him well to guide the organisation into its next phase. She also noted that Dr Arun Atrey will continue as Managing Director and Board Member, focusing on inorganic growth, partnerships, and regulatory strategy, while mentoring the incoming CEO.
Prior to this, Rajurkar served as CEO at SAVA Healthcare Limited, where he led growth strategies aimed at building a globally recognised pharmaceutical organisation with a focus on animal health and CDMO capabilities.
Earlier, he was CEO at Shield Healthcare Private Limited, a private equity-backed firm specialising in women’s and child health. During his tenure, the company achieved a Top 10 ranking in women’s health in India while driving strong value creation.
He also served as Head – India Business at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, managing a large P&L, overseeing multi-vertical operations across pharma, OTC, institutional, and nutritional segments, and leading a large workforce across India and Nepal.
Earlier in his career, he was Vice President at Zydus Cadila (German Remedies), managing business divisions across respiratory, gynecology, and gastroenterology, while building alliances with global pharmaceutical leaders.
He began his career with Ranbaxy and Alembic Pharmaceuticals Limited, where he developed expertise in strategic marketing, product development, and brand leadership.
With experience across both large enterprises and startup environments, Rajurkar brings strong strategic, operational, and transformational leadership capabilities.
