YouTube is launching a new artificial intelligence tool that can assist in producing instrumental music that is available for free usage by producers. The technology, known as the AI Music Assistant Feature, is being made available to a select group of American creators.
AI prompts will allow users to create background tracks by describing the type of music they want, the instruments they want, the atmosphere they want to create, and the film they want to utilize the music for. This also reduces the potential of copyright lawsuits for creators on the platform.
Creators that are a member of the beta program of Creator Music on YouTube Studio will have access to the functionality.
Additionally, YouTube is testing a tool that automatically syncs short videos with a creator-selected music track. They find editing easier as a result.
Numerous AI-powered tools, such as the remix tool that was introduced for Shorts last year, have been offered by the platform. Additionally, Google DeepMind’s AI model powers the Dream Track function, which transforms songs into recordings sung by certain performers.
