Xiaomi to widen service centre footprint across India by early 2026

Strengthening its focus on after-sales support, Xiaomi has announced plans to expand its service centre network across India, with new centres scheduled to open in 15 cities in Q1 2026. The company said the expansion is part of its broader plan to establish 100 service centres nationwide and follows the initial rollout completed in 2025.

Xiaomi said the new centres will open in phases through early 2026, helping the brand reach more regions and offer quicker, more specialised service support. The first phase of this expansion has already begun, with service centres opening in Ludhiana and Indore on January 29, followed by Visakhapatnam, Surat, and Lucknow on January 30. The remaining centres are expected to become operational in stages during the first quarter of 2026.

According to the company, the upcoming service centres are designed to go beyond standard service points. They will offer faster repairs and a wider service experience, supported by dedicated technical staff, product interaction zones, and paperless service processes. Xiaomi also said customers will be able to explore and purchase products at these locations.

The centres will host weekly community activities, including Xiaomi Days, which will take place every Wednesday. These initiatives are aimed at improving customer engagement and building stronger local communities around the brand.

Xiaomi added that the new service centres will provide additional customer benefits. These include a 30-day service discount for women customers and lifetime waivers on service charges for defence personnel and persons with disabilities. Limited-period offers will also be available, such as discounts of up to 50% on select spare parts and free screen protectors for select devices, subject to availability.

Sharing performance data from 2025, the company said nearly 95% of devices serviced at its first 10 service centres were repaired and delivered within 24 hours. Repeat visits were kept below 1%, while customer escalations remained under 0.5%. Xiaomi also noted that more than 5,000 customers benefited from its Wednesday Service Days initiative, which included free service charges on out-of-warranty repairs and complimentary device health check-ups.

Xiaomi said its Premium Service Centres offer priority repairs within 24 hours, supported by trained technicians, spare part availability, and quality checks. Customers are also provided standby devices if repairs take more than 2 hours.
