Wolters Kluwer experience data breach Sensitive Personal Data of Global Clients leaks
Dutch information services company Wolters Kluwer, which serves clients like American Airlines, BP, and Boeing, has reportedly experienced a cyberattack that compromised its systems, leading to the theft of personal data, as reported by Media.
The stolen database, estimated to be between 3 GB and 6 GB, contains sensitive information such as individuals’ full names, phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses, and details about their employment and education, along with social media accounts and tokens.
The threat actor behind the breach is attempting to sell this dataset to a single buyer for at least $15,000. An ongoing investigation indicates that the stolen data primarily consists of business contact information from Wolters Kluwer’s health journal division, with Wolters Kluwer stating that there is no evidence of financial or tax information being compromised. Although the dataset does not include credentials, Researchers cautioned that the exposed information could still be exploited for targeted phishing attacks.
