Wipro to acquire Mindsprint from Olam Group in $375 million deal

In a significant development in the tech services space, Wipro has agreed to acquire Mindsprint, the digital services arm of Olam Group, for $375 million.

The transaction is expected to be completed by June 2026, after which Mindsprint will become a fully owned part of Wipro. As part of the agreement, Olam Holdings will transfer 200 million ordinary shares of Mindsprint to Wipro Networks.

Olam Group is expected to receive around $310 million from the sale. Alongside this deal, the company has entered into a long-term partnership with Wipro through an 8-year contract valued at $100 million per year for technology and shared services.

This agreement represents more than half of Olam Group’s total annual spending on technology and shared services and could exceed $1 billion over the contract period.

The partnership will also focus on using Wipro’s AI capabilities to improve Olam’s farm-to-fork operations, enhancing efficiency across its value chain.

The deal highlights a strategic shift for Olam as it partners with Wipro for technology-driven transformation, while Wipro strengthens its digital services portfolio through the acquisition.
