The move marks a major leadership change within the business. Latriece is a long-serving Walmart leader with over 15 years of experience across merchandising, operations, and enterprise functions.
In her new position, Latriece will guide Sam’s Club’s long-term growth strategy. She will oversee merchandising, enhance member experience, and focus on sustained value creation. Her role will also include reinforcing Sam’s Club’s competitive position in the U.S. warehouse retail market.
Before this appointment, Latriece served as Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer at Walmart. In that role, she led key product categories such as Baby, Beauty, Household Essentials, Personal Care, Optical, OTC, and Pets. Her work supported category transformation, stronger supplier partnerships, and customer-focused merchandising across Walmart’s U.S. operations.
During her career at Walmart, Latriece has held several senior leadership roles, including Executive Vice President and Senior Vice President. These positions gave her broad experience across merchandising, real estate, and enterprise operations. Earlier, she also worked at Sam’s Club in merchandising roles and served as Senior Director – Real Estate at Walmart. This background gives her strong insight into both the Sam’s Club business model and Walmart’s wider ecosystem.
Her appointment highlights Walmart’s trust in her ability to balance strategy with execution and customer-first leadership. With deep institutional knowledge, strong commercial skills, and a people-focused approach, Latriece is well placed to lead Sam’s Club into its next stage of growth and innovation.
