Bhawesh will lead the group’s digital innovation and IT operations as the company pushes ahead with digital transformation and technology-driven growth. In his new role, Thakar will focus on process automation, improving operational efficiency, and building enterprise-wide technology systems aligned with business goals. His mandate includes driving scalable digital platforms, strengthening information security, and enabling innovation across the organisation.
Thakar brings more than 20 years of experience across IT infrastructure, information security, governance, risk and compliance, and large digital transformation programmes. Before joining Wagh Bakri Tea Group, he spent over 7 years at AWL Agri Business Limited. There, he served as Head of IT Infrastructure and GRC and as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), leading enterprise IT operations, cybersecurity strategy, and governance frameworks.
Earlier, he held several leadership roles at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Private Limited. He led DevOps, IT solutions engagement, and supply chain technology transformation across India and international markets such as Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. His work covered ERP implementations, digital supply chain planning, and large-scale system delivery across manufacturing and distribution networks.
Thakar began his career at IT&T Limited, where he worked on network and server support for large enterprise clients. Over time, he built strong experience in IT operations and enterprise systems delivery, shaping his ability to link technology strategy with business execution.
At Wagh Bakri Tea Group, Thakar will work on strengthening the company’s digital foundation. His focus will be on building secure and scalable systems to support growth across manufacturing, distribution, and brand operations.
