Vodafone Idea Joins Hands with TCS to Transform Customer Experience with AI

Vodafone Idea has entered into a five-year partnership with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to modernise its business support system and strengthen customer experience. The collaboration will be driven by an AI-powered, future-ready platform designed to deliver greater intelligence, automation, and personalisation while enabling faster rollout of new products and services.

According to a statement, “Tata Consultancy Services has partnered with Vodafone Idea to transform their business support system through an AI-driven and future-ready platform.” The financial details of the agreement were not shared.

The transformation will be based on TCS’ flagship solutions, TCS HOBS and TCS TwinX. TCS HOBS will serve as the digital backbone for business support systems, ensuring agility, stability, and smooth integration across customer touchpoints. TCS TwinX will enhance this with AI and machine learning capabilities, offering scenario simulations to improve responsiveness and create personalised interactions.

Together, these platforms are expected to enhance service delivery, improve resilience, and provide Vodafone Idea with the flexibility to adapt to evolving customer demands.

Jagbir Singh, Chief Technology Officer at Vodafone Idea, said, “By modernizing our BSS platforms embedded with AI-driven innovation, we are setting a new standard to deliver faster, smarter, and more personalized digital experiences.”

Ujjwal Mathur, President and Country Head India Business at TCS, highlighted the long-standing partnership between the two companies. “This initiative marks a pivotal step in driving AI-led transformation of Vi’s core business support system,” he stated.

This development follows Vodafone Idea’s continued expansion of its 5G network in India. On September 3, 2025, the company rolled out 5G services in Indore, making it the first city in Madhya Pradesh to access Vi 5G. Just days earlier, the company launched 5G services in Siliguri, West Bengal, on August 25, 2025.
