Vodafone Idea has increased the availability of its unlimited 5G services across several major cities in India. While the rollout continues at a slower pace compared to other telecom players, the expansion remains important for the company as it works to improve revenue and secure additional funding for network growth. The upcoming quarterly financial results will be closely watched to understand the progress in this area.
Currently, Vodafone Idea unlimited 5G is accessible to users in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Mysore, Patna, Nagpur, Jaipur, Sonipat, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nashik, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Meerut, Vizag, Madurai, Agra, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Pune, Siliguri, Indore, Kolkata, Lucknow and Dehradun.
To use the unlimited 5G offer, customers must have a 5G supported smartphone. For prepaid users, the minimum recharge required to access 5G services is Rs 299. For postpaid customers, the minimum recharge begins at Rs 451. In some service areas, the introductory Rs 299 plan may be revised to a higher amount to continue receiving 5G benefits.
Along with Vodafone Idea, Airtel and Jio also offer unlimited 5G data to their users. However, Jio currently offers truly unlimited usage, while both Airtel and Vodafone Idea have placed a 300GB usage limit on their unlimited 5G data plans. Users should also ensure that their phone network settings are set to allow 5G access. Once enabled, the device will automatically connect to 5G wherever it is available.
