Vivo V70 Elite appears on Geekbench with Snapdragon 8 series chip

As anticipation builds around Vivo’s next smartphone lineup, early performance details of its top-end model have surfaced online ahead of the official launch in India.

Vivo has confirmed that the V70 series will be launched in India soon, with the lineup featuring 2 models, the Vivo V70 Elite and the Vivo V70. Ahead of the launch, the Vivo V70 Elite has been spotted on a benchmarking platform, offering insights into its performance and hardware. The company has also confirmed that the phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 series chipset and will be available in 3 colour options. A dedicated microsite for the device is already live on 2 e-commerce platforms, though the launch date has not yet been announced.

A Vivo smartphone with the model number V2548 has been listed on the Geekbench benchmarking website. According to tech blogger Anvin (@ZionsAnvin), this model number belongs to the upcoming Vivo V70 Elite. The listing shows the handset running on Android 16 and featuring 12GB of RAM.

In benchmark results, the device scored 1,973 points in single-core performance and 4,863 points in multi-core performance. The phone is listed with an octa-core ARMv8 processor, including 3 efficiency cores clocked at 2.02GHz, 4 performance cores clocked at 2.80GHz, and 1 prime core with a peak speed of 3.01GHz.

Vivo has already confirmed that both the Vivo V70 Elite and Vivo V70 will be launched in India soon. The smartphones will be available for purchase through Amazon, Flipkart, and the Vivo India online store. The Vivo V70 Elite will be sold in Passion Red, Sand Beige, and Authentic Black colour options, while the Vivo V70 will be available in Passion Red and Lemon Yellow.

In terms of hardware, Vivo has confirmed that the V70 Elite will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. The standard Vivo V70 will feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor. The V70 series is teased to feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K display with a pixel density of 459ppi, a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits, support for 1.07 billion colours, and 1.25mm slim bezels. The lineup will also pack a 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W wired fast charging.
