Vivo launches OriginOS 6 with AI-driven performance, design upgrades, and enhanced security

Vivo has introduced OriginOS 6, its next-generation operating system designed to offer a more seamless, intelligent, and efficient user experience. The company said that the new Origin Engine enables smooth coordination among key system modules, including computing, storage, and display, to deliver optimised performance across devices.

At the core of OriginOS 6 is the 8+1 Ultra-Core Computing architecture, which prioritises essential tasks to improve responsiveness. Vivo stated that app cold-start speeds are now 18.5 per cent faster, frame-rate stability has improved by 10.5 per cent, and Dual Rendering enhances animation performance by 35 per cent. Memory Fusion technology accelerates data loading by 106 per cent, while overall frame-rate consistency is 11 per cent higher even during heavy usage.

The new Snap-Up Engine, an industry-first innovation by Vivo, allocates computing power to high-demand actions such as ticket booking, helping users perform time-sensitive tasks faster. App launches are now up to 16 per cent quicker when opening 50 consecutive apps, and touch response has improved by 41 per cent, providing a smoother and more fluid interface.

The Vivo X300 Pro, running OriginOS 6, has received SGS certification for sustained performance, simulating five years of consistent use without degradation.

Visually, OriginOS 6 offers a unified and minimal design language. It harmonises colour, shape, layout, and materials while introducing Vivo Sans2, a new brand font that supports over 40 languages. For the first time, symbols come with adjustable weight for better readability and visual balance.

The update also expands personalisation with new tools such as Lock Screen Grid, Home Screen Grid, and Flip Cards. Origin Island, a new feature, keeps real-time information visible at the top of the screen even while switching between applications.

Vivo has integrated its AI assistant more deeply into the system, enhancing productivity and creativity. Key tools such as Smart Call Assistant, DocMaster, AI Creation, and AI Search aim to simplify daily communication, document handling, and content generation. Additional AI-powered features like Gemini and Circle to Search strengthen the OS’s intelligent capabilities.

Vivo has also prioritised user privacy with the new Vivo Security framework, which includes on-device processing, data minimisation, and clear privacy controls.

OriginOS 6 will roll out globally in phases starting November 2025, with upgrade schedules varying by region.
