Piramal Pharma Ltd – Consumer Products Division has named Vishal Bhargava as its Chief Information Officer. He brings more than 24 years of experience in IT strategy, digital transformation, business analysis, ERP, CRM, AI, and Industry 4.0 and 5.0 programmes.
In his new role, Bhargava will lead major technology transformation projects. His focus areas include SAP HANA migration, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations implementation, and Salesforce CRM adoption. These initiatives aim to boost operational agility, improve data accuracy, and strengthen customer engagement.
Before joining Piramal Pharma, Bhargava served as Group Chief Information Officer at Astarc Group. There, he oversaw the migration of SAP systems to HANA, implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, deployed Salesforce CRM, and advanced Industry 4.0 initiatives. His work also included integrating IoT-based predictive maintenance systems, introducing AI-driven cybersecurity threat detection, and promoting low-code and no-code application adoption to reduce IT backlogs and improve responsiveness.
Previously, Bhargava was Head of Technology at Pidilite Industries Limited, where he led wide-ranging digital transformation programmes across quality, process, supply chain, and manufacturing. His work included integrating IoT into production processes and enhancing business intelligence systems for real-time operational insights.
Earlier in his career, Bhargava held senior technology and consulting roles at leading companies including L&T Infotech, Computer Sciences Corporation, Tata Consultancy Services, Sterlite Technologies Ltd, and Videocon Appliances Limited. In these roles, he developed strong expertise in manufacturing execution systems, smart manufacturing, supply chain visibility, predictive maintenance, and global digital strategies.
