Vinayak Deshpande joins Parle Products Pvt. Ltd as Chief Human Resources Officer

Marking an important leadership move for one of India’s most well known consumer goods companies. Vinayak appointment comes as the organisation strengthens its talent strategy to support growth across both established and emerging business areas.

Vinayak brings more than twenty years of experience in human resources across multinational organisations. He joins Parle Products Pvt. Ltd after nearly five years at Amazon, where he most recently led the human resources function for the United Kingdom and Europe Marketplace division. Before that, he served as Regional Lead for Amazon India and played a central role in shaping people practices during a period of expansion and organisational change.

Prior to his tenure at Amazon, Vinayak spent over five years with Kerry, managing a diverse set of human resources responsibilities across Southwest Asia and later the Middle East, India, and Africa. His work focused on leadership development, scaling human resources operations across multiple regions, and supporting the company’s merger and acquisition activity.

Earlier in his career, Vinayak held human resources roles with GSK, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, and PepsiCo. These roles exposed him to a variety of business environments and workforce needs. People aware of his career note that these experiences helped him develop strong insight into culture building, capability development, and organisational structure within large enterprises. He began his professional journey at ACC Limited, where he gained early experience in core human resources operations.

Industry observers believe his mix of regional experience and practical leadership will support Parle as it modernises its people strategy. His mandate is expected to include capability building and strengthening internal systems to back the company’s next phase of growth. Vinayak holds an MBA in Human Resources from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.
