Based in Hartford, Connecticut, United States, Vilas will focus on strengthening the company’s global insurance partner ecosystem. His expanded responsibility also includes managing strategic relationships with deal advisors and industry analysts, aimed at improving market positioning across the global insurance landscape.
Vilas brings nearly 17 years of experience at Infosys in building and scaling long term client and ecosystem relationships. Prior to this role, he served as Head, Partnerships and Alliances for Insurance in North America. In that position, he developed a strong network of partners across hyperscalers, insurance focused technology providers, cross industry solution firms, and insurtech companies.
Earlier at Infosys, Vilas worked as Senior Client Partner and Senior Manager Client Services, managing several strategic accounts across healthcare, reinsurance, and property and casualty insurance. He drove account growth, profitability, and long term engagement across the Greater Hartford region and received internal recognition for account expansion and delivery excellence.
Before joining Infosys, Vilas spent close to 6 years at Tech Mahindra Limited in the United Kingdom as a Group Leader. There, he managed multiple programs for BT using global delivery models. His work covered distributed delivery centers, telecom networks, billing systems, validation, production support, and multi region stakeholder management.
He began his professional career with around 7 years at Tata Motors in the Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad region as Assistant Manager. During this time, he led the digitisation of manual processes for the Construction Division, including inventory, billing, reporting, and vendor reconciliation systems, building a strong base in process automation and scalable technology solutions.
