Vicarious Surgical Announces Appointment of Sarah Romano as Chief Financial Officer

Vicarious Surgical Inc., a cutting-edge robotics technology firm dedicated to enhancing lives through advancements in robotic surgery, has announced the appointment of Sarah Romano as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), starting April 1, 2025.

In her new role, Ms. Romano will manage Vicarious Surgical’s financial strategy, drawing on her extensive experience in capital markets. Known for her strong strategic insight, she has a successful history of fostering growth and creating value in public companies, especially within the healthcare industry, by executing effective fundraising and mergers and acquisitions.

Most recently, Ms. Romano was the Chief Financial Officer at Entero Therapeutics, where she directed financial strategy, operations, and compliance, successfully raising substantial funds and executing product in-licensing agreements. Before that, as CFO of Kiora Pharmaceuticals, she secured over $50 million in funding and led mergers and acquisitions, managing due diligence and integration processes. Earlier in her career, Ms. Romano held various roles with increasing responsibility, including corporate controller, where she managed budget reviews, financial forecasting and analysis, internal controls, and SEC reporting. She earned a Master of Accountancy from Boston College and a B.A. in Accounting from the College of the Holy Cross.
