Vodafone Idea and IBM Launch AI Innovation Hub to Drive Digital Transformation

Vodafone Idea Limited has partnered with IBM to strengthen its use of artificial intelligence and automation, with a focus on modernising operations, accelerating digital services, and improving customer experience.

The centrepiece of this collaboration is the newly launched AI Innovation Hub, where teams from both organisations will jointly develop AI-based tools, automation solutions, and digital products. The hub will also work closely with Vodafone Idea’s unified DevOps team to speed up software development and bring greater efficiency to operations.

Jagbir Singh, Chief Technology Officer at Vodafone Idea, stressed the importance of this move. He said, “The AI Innovation Hub will play a critical role in modernising our operations and expediting our go-to-market execution of critical business initiatives through faster software development cycles, setting new benchmarks for the telecom industry.”

IBM has also underlined the value of this partnership. Juhi McClelland, Managing Partner for IBM Consulting in Asia Pacific, said, “In this dynamic landscape, our collaboration with Vi allows IBM to serve as a strategic enabler to help modernise the organisation’s IT ecosystem, enhance operational efficiencies and fast-track their digital transformation.”

Highlighting the long-standing relationship between the two companies, Rishi Aurora, Managing Partner at IBM Consulting India South Asia, added, “Our recent collaboration with Vi marks a significant step in redefining how AI and automation can transform telecom operations at scale.”
