During the meeting, the Commissioner examined the progress of the cyber crime cell and directed officials to upgrade their systems to effectively tackle cyber crime, which he described as one of the biggest challenges for law enforcement today.

Officials from the cyber crime cell shared details of their recent actions. They reported the arrest of 84 cyber criminals and fraudsters running six fake call centres. The police have also begun the process of registering three criminal gangs and booking their members under the Gangsters Act.

In addition to these actions, the cell has successfully returned Rs 2,15,46,638 to victims of cyber fraud. The Commissioner appreciated these achievements and urged the team to continue strengthening their operations.

The crime cell has also conducted 291 cyber awareness programmes across schools, colleges, and public places in the last three months. These initiatives reached 38,524 people and aimed to spread awareness about online fraud, digital safety, and responsible internet use.

Commissioner Mohit Agrawal also reviewed the status of pending cyber crime complaints, data updates on government portals, and the use of advanced technical tools in investigations. He emphasised the importance of quick and effective action against criminals.

The Commissioner further instructed the cell to regularly monitor the progress of all complaints received through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal to ensure timely redressal for victims.
