Wishing Ms. Vaishnavi Shukla greater responsibilities and exciting challenges in this impressive new chapter!
Tata Communications has welcomed Vaishnavi Shukla as its new Vice President of HR, a move that brings a seasoned leader with deep expertise in talent strategy and organisational development into the fold.
Vaishnavi transitioned from her role at Comviva, where she held the position of Head of Human Resources. An alumna of the Indian School of Business, her professional journey began in 2007 with Hero MotoCorp, where she spent over four years building a strong foundation in talent management, employee engagement, and learning and development.
At Hero MotoCorp, she rose through the ranks from Deputy Manager to Assistant Manager, overseeing key HR functions including performance management systems and organisational development initiatives. Vaishnavi’s early years reflect a deep commitment to building robust people strategies aligned with business goals.
Vaishnavi’s next major chapter unfolded at Mahindra Comviva, where she served for more than four and a half years. There, she played a pivotal role as a business HR partner and talent leader, crafting cross-functional programmes, improving employee engagement, and contributing significantly to one of the company’s most successful and growth-driven divisions.
In 2016, Vaishnavi briefly joined HFCL as Head of Talent Management, where she established the function from scratch. Her initiatives focused on aligning employee growth with business objectives, laying the groundwork for a more development-focused work culture.
Later that year, she returned to Comviva, this time as Head of HR. In this role, she led strategy across multiple product verticals, enabling innovation and organisational agility during a phase of rapid transformation. Her leadership was marked by a results-driven approach and a strong focus on client-centric, solution-based delivery.
Colleagues and industry peers regard her as a determined, thoughtful, and pragmatic HR leader whose vision is always people-first, business-aligned, and innovation-led. As she steps into her new role of HR at Tata Communications, her wealth of experience promises to drive strategic human capital growth and cultural excellence.
