The US Justice Department has announced new federal charges against a Ukrainian national accused of carrying out cyberattacks targeting critical infrastructure in support of Russian interests. Victoria Eduardovna Dubranova, 33, faces a second indictment in a federal court in Los Angeles for her alleged involvement with a group identified as NoName05716.
Earlier this year, Dubranova was extradited to the United States on charges connected to another cyber group called CyberArmyofRussia Reborn. She has been charged with conspiracy to damage protected computers in both cases and has pleaded not guilty. Her trial for the NoName case is scheduled for February 2026, while the CARR-related case will be heard in April 2026. A defense lawyer for Dubranova was not immediately available for comment.
John Eisenberg, assistant attorney general leading the Justice Department’s national security division, said, “Today’s actions demonstrate the Department’s commitment to disrupting malicious Russian cyber activity whether conducted directly by state actors or their criminal proxies.” Prosecutors have claimed that both CARR and NoName received financial support from Russia. Federal authorities allege the cyberattacks targeted vital services including food and water systems, posing serious national security risks. NoName has reportedly claimed responsibility for hundreds of cyberattacks worldwide.
The US State Department is offering rewards for information on individuals connected to these groups with up to 2 million for CARR-related tips and up to 10 million for NoName-linked information. Officials also noted that representatives from the Russian embassy in the United States were not immediately available for comment.
