UP Government Deploys AI to Ensure Tight Security in RO-ARO Recruitment Exams

The Uttar Pradesh government is set to deploy artificial intelligence-powered monitoring systems to bolster transparency and security during the upcoming Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO) recruitment examinations.

The exams, conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC), are scheduled to take place across 58 districts in the state. In a bid to ensure fair conduct and curb malpractices, the Yogi Adityanath-led administration will employ AI-based facial recognition, geo-tagging, and advanced surveillance technologies at exam centers.

“AI will play a crucial role in ensuring that these exams are conducted with the highest standards of integrity,” said a senior official from the state IT department. “We aim to create a transparent and tamper-proof examination process.”

The initiative is part of a broader push by the UP government to modernize its examination infrastructure and eliminate the possibility of paper leaks or impersonation.

Earlier, similar measures were successfully implemented during police recruitment exams in the state, leading to a significant drop in irregularities.

With this proactive approach, Uttar Pradesh is emerging as a leader in the use of technology for governance and public sector reforms, reinforcing the credibility of its recruitment processes.
