In a move to expand its international presence, Unitree Robotics is preparing to launch its R1 humanoid robot in overseas markets through Alibaba’s AliExpress starting next week.

The initial rollout will target regions including North America, Europe, Japan, and Singapore. This marks a key step for the company as it takes its robotics products beyond China and into global markets.

The R1, which was introduced in China last year, is Unitree’s most affordable humanoid robot. It is priced at 29,900 yuan (US$4,400) in its domestic market. However, the company has not yet revealed pricing details for international buyers.

Standing at 123 cm tall, the robot is designed with advanced mobility features. According to the company, it can perform actions such as cartwheels, getting up from the ground, and running downhill.

The overseas launch highlights Unitree’s efforts to position itself in the growing global robotics market with competitively priced humanoid solutions.
