Wishing Mr. Umberto Boccato greater responsibilities and exciting challenges in this impressive new chapter!
A fresh breeze of leadership is set to flow through the halls of Mirabaud Asset Management as Umberto Boccato prepares to take the reins as Chief Executive Officer from January 1, 2025. This appointment isn’t just a title shift; it’s part of a sweeping evolution within the Mirabaud Group, aimed at deepening innovation and widening the company’s international reach.
Boccato, whose association with Mirabaud stretches back nearly twenty years, has long been a guiding force in its asset management journey. Boccato’s strategic insight and unwavering commitment are seen as key to steering the firm into a future filled with new opportunities and growth pathways.
Meanwhile, Lionel Aeschlimann, the current CEO, is stepping into the distinguished role of Senior Managing Partner at the parent group. Since 2012, Aeschlimann has led the firm with distinction, overseeing the birth and scaling of the asset management division. In his new post, he will take charge of multiple boards within Mirabaud’s investment arms, maintaining strategic continuity and offering senior counsel.
As part of this dynamic leadership restructuring, four professionals have been named equity partners: Louis Fauchier-Magnan, François Leyss, Julien Meylan, and Boccato himself. Each has played a pivotal role in shaping different facets of the business and brings to the table years of dedication and industry expertise.
This leadership transformation is more than an internal shift; it reflects Mirabaud’s culture of nurturing potential and its belief in staying ahead by embracing purposeful change. The firm continues to honour its heritage while preparing to write the next chapter in the evolving world of financial services.
