Trishul Space secures pre seed funding to advance rocket propulsion technology

Rocket propulsion startup Trishul Space has raised four crore rupees in a pre seed funding round led by IAN Angel Fund, with participation from 8X Ventures and ITEL. The investment will support research, development, and testing of turbopump technology for Harpy 1. This is the company’s liquid rocket engine created for small satellite launch vehicles.

Trishul Space was founded by Aditya Singh, Divyam, and Rajat Choudhary. The company builds liquid rocket engines using staged combustion cycles and AI based failure detection. Its aim is to reduce the time, cost, and complexity involved in building propulsion systems. It plans to offer ready to use engines to both private and government launch vehicle manufacturers.

The company is working to solve a major challenge in the space sector where propulsion development is slow, expensive, and requires heavy resources. Its goal is to provide modular propulsion systems that allow new launch companies to build faster without starting from zero.

Trishul Space is based in Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh and operates from the R and I Park at IIT Delhi. The company serves both government and private launch vehicle manufacturers.

Trishul Space is targeting the growing global market for small and medium launch vehicles. This market is expected to cross fifteen billion dollars by the year 2030. Propulsion systems account for thirty to forty per cent of launch costs, making them a key area for innovation and efficiency.
