Pushpendra Kumar Singh, Principal Advisor to TRAI, has unveiled a new rating framework for digital connectivity infrastructure designed to ensure superior indoor signal quality.
This initiative targets hospitals, public buildings, government offices, and residential complexes to provide the robust network stability essential for modern services like remote work, e-health, digital education, and online banking.
Under this system, buildings will receive ratings based on their digital infrastructure quality, with a Five-Star rating signifying the highest standard of connectivity. Property developers and owners can adopt this framework voluntarily.
According to TRAI, this transparency allows consumers to assess a property’s digital readiness before purchasing or investing. Aligned with the Viksit Bharat vision, this framework represents a significant stride toward a digitally empowered nation by prioritising seamless connectivity within the built environment.
