Tinsukia Police have arrested four cyber criminals involved in financial fraud and interstate online betting. The operation was led by the ASP (HQ) and the Officer in Charge of Tinsukia. One suspect was caught in Tinsukia, while three others were arrested in Chhattisgarh.
During the raid, police seized several digital devices and 68 ATM cards used for illegal activities. The arrested individuals admitted to setting up mule accounts for cybercriminals across India. They also confessed to running an interstate online betting network.
Cybercriminals use mule accounts to move stolen money without being traced. Tinsukia Police are now digging deeper into this case to find more links to larger financial fraud and cybercrime networks. They believe this group could be part of a bigger operation targeting people through cyber fraud. More arrests and seizures are expected as the investigation continues.
Authorities warn people to be careful while sharing their banking details. Financial fraud cases are rising, and cybercriminals use online betting schemes to cheat people.
Tinsukia Police have urged citizens to report suspicious transactions and avoid getting involved in such illegal activities. The crackdown on cyber criminals involved in financial fraud and online betting is a big step toward controlling cybercrime. Tinsukia Police are determined to catch more people linked to this racket and prevent further scams.
