Tesla has expanded its charging network in India with the launch of its fifth Supercharger outlet, located in Navi Mumbai.

The new facility is situated in the underground parking of Nexus Seawoods mall, around 8 km from Navi Mumbai International Airport and 30 km from Mumbai’s International Airport. The location has been strategically chosen to support travel between Mumbai and Pune.

This marks Tesla’s first charging station in a mall in India. The site includes 4 DC fast Superchargers and 4 11 kW AC Destination Chargers.

With this addition, Tesla now operates 20 Superchargers and 14 Destination Chargers across India, taking the total number of Tesla-branded charging points to 34. Currently, its network is limited to Mumbai, Delhi, and Gurugram.

Tesla charges ₹24 per kWh for its Superchargers, which can deliver up to 250 kW output. The 11 kW AC chargers are priced at ₹14 per kWh. All charging infrastructure is owned and operated by Tesla, with no third-party involvement.

At present, the charging network is exclusively available to Tesla customers in India. Unlike some global markets, other electric vehicles are not allowed to use Tesla Superchargers locally.

The company is expected to expand its charging footprint further, particularly along high-traffic corridors connecting major cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai, and Chandigarh.

In India, Tesla currently offers only one model—the Model Y—available in Standard and Long Range variants. The price ranges between ₹59.89 lakh and ₹67.89 lakh (ex-showroom). An additional ₹6 lakh is required for the Full Self-Driving (FSD) package, which remains subject to regulatory approval for autonomous driving in India.
