Chandigarh-based AI and robotics startup Terafac has secured Rs 6.5 crore (800,000 dollars) in a pre-seed funding round led by Inuka Capital. The round also saw participation from DEVC, Bharat Founders Fund, Innovation Mission Punjab, and a group of individual angel investors.
The company will utilise the capital to boost product innovation, expand into new markets, and strengthen its team through strategic hiring.
Terafac was founded by Anubhi Khandelwal and Amrit Singh. The startup has developed an AI-Vision platform that transforms standard industrial robots into intelligent, adaptive machines. Their first product, WeldT, is designed to automate welding processes by using computer vision, allowing it to handle a wide range of product variations with ease.
Terafac is now aiming to scale its technology across other industrial applications such as gluing, painting, and quality inspection.
Terafac operates under a “Software-as-a-Skill” model, focusing on delivering AI-powered automation tools to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and factory operations. The startup is targeting 80 system deployments across 20 customers within the next year and aims to achieve an annual recurring revenue of Rs 8 crore by the financial year 2026.
