TenneT Germany has appointed Kathrin Günther as chief transformation officer, with effect from 1 September 2025.
She will join the executive board and lead IT, digital transformation, HR and corporate security.
The appointment follows the group’s structural overhaul earlier this year, which created two national entities—TenneT Netherlands and TenneT Germany—under a single holding.
Chair of the supervisory board Manon van Beek said: “Kathrin Günther is strengthening the executive board of TenneT Germany with a proven expert in digital transformation.”
CEO Tim Meyerjürgens added: “An ideal addition to our management team and an important step for TenneT Germany.”
He said the company would continue developing transmission system operations to be “digital, flexible, and the backbone of a future-proof energy system”.
Günther said: “The energy transition is one of the greatest transformation challenges of our time, and digitalisation plays a key role.”
She added that AI, automation, and process digitalisation would ensure a “resilient, secure, and intelligent” energy system.
She was most recently COO of GFT Software Solutions, a global IT and software business, and brings experience in leading digital transformation in the industrial and tech sectors.
