Telangana recorded a significant decrease in financial losses and cybercrime complaints during the first four months of 2025, when compared to the same period in 2024, a top police officer said on Sunday.
In a statement, Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) Director Shikha Goel attributed this achievement to a mix of proactive investigations, public awareness campaigns, and strategic operations driven by interagency cooperation and data analytics.
According to her, Telangana had an 11% drop in financial cybercrime complaints between January and April 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. Meanwhile, nationwide, cybercrime complaints rose by 28% within the same time frame.
