Tecno has officially launched the POVA Curve 2 in India, with sales now live on Flipkart and offline retail stores. The smartphone starts at Rs 27,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, while the 8GB + 256GB model is priced at Rs 29,999. Buyers can avail up to Rs 3,000 cashback through select bank and NBFC partners.
The standout feature of the POVA Curve 2 is its 8,000mAh battery, claimed to be the largest in its segment. Despite the massive battery capacity, the device measures just 7.42mm in thickness and weighs 195g, making it relatively slim and lightweight compared to other large-battery smartphones.
Under the hood, Tecno markets the device as the world’s first triple-chipset smartphone in its segment. It combines a dedicated G1 signal chipset and an SE1 Wi-Fi chipset alongside the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor. The phone supports 20 5G bands and features intelligent network switching to improve connectivity in areas with unstable signals.
The POVA Curve 2 features a 144Hz curved AMOLED display designed for smooth visuals. It also includes eye comfort technology to reduce strain during extended usage, particularly for gaming and scrolling.
On the software front, the smartphone comes equipped with ELLA AI 2.0, which supports regional languages including Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Gujarati, and Marathi, offering a more localised user experience.
Tecno also claims that the device introduces India’s first all-scenario AI noise reduction in its segment. The feature is aimed at enhancing audio clarity during calls, video meetings, and gaming sessions.
With a large battery, advanced connectivity features, and AI-driven enhancements, the POVA Curve 2 is positioned as a performance-focused smartphone in its price range.
