TCS launches AI Experience Zone and Design Studio in London, to create 5,000 new jobs in the UK

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has launched a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) Experience Zone and Design Studio in London, reinforcing its long-term commitment to the United Kingdom and strengthening its partnership with the UK economy. As part of its continued investment in innovation and talent, the company also announced plans to create 5,000 new jobs across the UK over the next three years.

TCS has been a trusted technology partner to UK enterprises for over five decades, driving digital transformation and supporting local talent development. The company currently supports around 42,000 jobs directly and indirectly in the UK. The newly launched AI Experience Zone and Design Studio, inspired by TCS’s flagship PaceFort facility, will serve as a hub for innovation and client collaboration across the region. It follows the establishment of TCS’s first Design Studio in New York and will leverage the company’s partnerships with academia, startups, and industry leaders across the UK.

Jason Stockwood, Minister for Investment, United Kingdom, said, “I was delighted to visit the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) campus in Mumbai to see their technological innovation first-hand. For nearly 150 years, Tata Group has reflected their leadership in entrepreneurship and philanthropy. Now, as we celebrate a landmark Prime Ministerial visit to India, we have reaffirmed the pledge between our two economies to maximise on the trade deal we signed in July. As a valued investor for the UK, Tata Group and its companies like TCS are central to this mission which ultimately will create jobs, put money in people’s pockets, and deliver economic growth across both countries.”

During the UK Prime Minister’s business delegation visit to the TCS Banyan Park campus in Mumbai, Minister Stockwood and TCS leaders launched a report by Oxford Economics outlining TCS’s contribution to the UK economy. The report highlighted that in FY2024, TCS contributed £3.3 billion to the UK’s gross regional product, supported over £780 million in tax contributions, and created 42,700 jobs across 19 sites in the country.

Nick Mayes, Principal Analyst at PAC, said, “This latest investment from TCS reinforces its position as the leading provider of critical digital services in the UK. It plays a vital role in supporting complex, transformational programmes across many industry sectors, and this enhanced capability will put it in a strong position to help its clients harness the full potential of AI.”

Vinay Singhvi, Head of UK and Ireland at TCS, added, “The UK is TCS’s second-largest market globally, making it central to our investment strategy around the world. The AI Experience Zone will further help to foster innovation in collaboration with businesses throughout the UK, helping maintain an edge in artificial intelligence and new technologies.”

TCS continues to invest in people and skills by working with academic institutions and government initiatives to promote STEM education and digital literacy. Its Partnering for Skills programme aims to reskill 12,000 people for future STEM jobs, directly supporting the government’s vision for a skilled and future-ready workforce.
