Tata Technologies hit by ransomware attack affecting some IT services

Tata Technologies has acknowledged that it was the target of a ransomware assault that resulted in the temporary suspension of several of its IT services. The business stated that the services have now been restored and that it has started a thorough investigation to determine the root of the problem.

Tata Technologies announced in a statement that “…some of the IT services were temporarily suspended and have now been restored.

Our Client delivery services have remained fully functional and unaffected throughout.”

“Further detailed investigation is underway in consultation with experts to assess the root cause and to take remedial action as necessary. We remain committed to the highest standards of security and data protection and are taking all necessary steps to mitigate any potential risks,” the statement further added.

No other information about the attack has been made public.

Prior to the union budget, Tata Technologies stressed the need for more support for Industry 4.0-aligned upskilling programs in order to train a workforce that is ready for the future.

CEO and MD Warren Harris emphasized in a statement that innovation-driven policies, investments in cutting-edge technology, and the creation of goods “in India, for India and the world” are necessary to realize India’s $5 trillion economic objective.

Harris urged government assistance through incentives for R&D, talent development, and infrastructure expansion, emphasizing the significance of key growth drivers including software-defined vehicles (SDVs), smart manufacturing, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital transformation.

“We recommend increased allocation toward upskilling initiatives aligned with Industry 4.0, creating a future-ready workforce capable of excelling in advanced technologies like AI, IoT, and cybersecurity,” Harris said.
