Sanjeev Sharma has taken on a new role as Director Talent Acquisition at Tata Semiconductors, a part of Tata Electronics. He expressed his appreciation for the opportunity and said he looks forward to contributing to India’s fast growing semiconductor and electronics manufacturing ecosystem. His appointment comes at a crucial time as the company works towards building a trusted and complete semiconductor value chain for global customers, covering electronics manufacturing services, chip packaging, foundry, and design services.
In his new role, Sharma will lead large scale hiring strategies to support the company’s expansion plans. His focus will be on attracting top global talent, developing leadership pipelines, and working closely with business teams to help position India as a major centre for advanced electronics manufacturing.
Before joining Tata Semiconductors, Sharma spent more than ten years with NXP Semiconductors. He served as Talent Acquisition Regional Lead in Noida and later as India Talent Acquisition Leader. During this period, he played a key role in shaping the company’s hiring strategy in India, supporting high growth engineering teams, and strengthening employer branding. He also led large recruitment programmes and helped integrate talent processes after the acquisition of Freescale by NXP.
Earlier, he worked with Freescale Semiconductor as Senior Lead Talent Acquisition, where he handled specialised hiring for semiconductor engineering roles and built expertise in sourcing niche skills.
Sharma also spent over six years at Tejas Networks as an HR Business Partner and Staffing Specialist. He managed end to end recruitment for telecom research and development roles, worked closely with product leaders, and led campus hiring at top institutes such as IITs and NITs.
He began his career with Alp Consulting Ltd as a Technical Recruiter, where he built strong foundations in technology hiring and stakeholder management.
