A new offer has been introduced for Tata Play users that gives them an extended period of free access to Apple Music. The company confirmed that every customer is eligible for the trial, with the duration depending on whether they are a new or existing Apple Music user.
According to the announcement, anyone creating a new Apple Music account will receive four months of complimentary access. Customers who already have an Apple Music account will get three months of free membership. The company said the goal is to give subscribers more choice and better value.
“This promotional offer is a testament to our commitment to delivering more value and convenience, giving our customers easy access to over 100 million songs, curated playlists, and live radio through Apple Music now accessible via Tata Play platforms,” said Pallavi Puri, chief commercial and content officer at Tata Play.
“With the integration of Apple Music, we are delivering a more immersive and personalised audio experience for Tata Play’s audience and bringing Apple Music to even more customers,” said Shalini Poddar, Director Content and Services, Apple India.
The offer applies to Tata Play customers with Direct to Home accounts, Over the Top accounts or broadband accounts. It can be redeemed through Tata Play Binge, the Tata Play mobile app on both Android and iOS, and Tata Play Fiber.
All eligible customers will receive a promo code that must be entered while signing up or logging in to Apple Music. New users will get four months of free access, while existing users will get three months. Once the trial ends, the regular plan price will apply. For example, the individual Apple Music plan costs 119 rupees per month. Customers who do not want to continue after the trial must cancel their subscription to avoid automatic charges.
This move brings Tata Play in line with another major operator’s strategy, which previously offered Apple Music access to customers with eligible recharges after its own music streaming service shut down last year.
