TTK Prestige Ltd, India’s leading kitchen appliance brand, has appointed Tamilselvan Sankaralingam as its Chief Technology Officer. In his new position, he will drive technology-led product innovation across Prestige’s wide range of offerings, which include pressure cookers, non-stick cookware, gas stoves, induction cooktops, mixer grinders, and the fast-expanding kitchen electrical appliances segment.
Tamilselvan joins TTK Prestige after an accomplished 21-year career at Philips, where he held several senior leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Director of Engineering (Sustaining) Image Guided Therapy Systems and Devices, leading a global team of more than 150 engineers across India, the Netherlands, and the United States. In this role, he partnered with R&D and supply chain leaders to deliver programmes focused on patient safety, sustainability, and business continuity.
Between 2022 and 2024, Tamilselvan worked as NBX Venture Leader Consumer Health at Philips, where he spearheaded a women’s health initiative in India. This involved identifying key challenges and developing scalable product solutions in collaboration with ecosystem partners. Before that, he was Consumer Marketing Director Sonicare in Amsterdam, managing a EUR 600 million portfolio of power toothbrushes and leading oral health innovation on a global scale.
Earlier in his career at Philips, Tamilselvan contributed in various leadership positions across engineering and product development, building expertise in systems engineering, value engineering, and product innovation. He began his professional journey as a Project Engineer at TVS Motor Company, where he focused on quality systems, productivity enhancement, and benchmarking initiatives.
Tamilselvan holds a Master’s degree in Product Development from the National University of Singapore and Eindhoven University of Technology, as well as an Executive MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.
