AXA XL Insurance has announced the appointment of Sylvie Gleises as the new Regional CEO for Asia, effective March 24, 2025. In this role, Gleises will lead AXA XL’s strategic direction and operations across one of the most dynamic commercial insurance markets in the world, strengthening the company’s position in the region.
In addition to her new responsibilities, Ms. Gleises will continue her leadership role as CEO of AXA XL’s Singapore Insurance operations. She takes over from Gilles Fromageot, who has been appointed CEO of AXA Morocco and CIMA.
With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Gleises has been a part of the AXA Group since 2006. She holds a strong academic background, having graduated from the prestigious ESCP French Business School, along with a master’s degree from the London School of Economics.
Gleises is also actively involved in the business community. She currently serves as the President of the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore and is a member of the Global Advisory Board for The European Art Fair Foundation.
Her extensive experience and leadership in the insurance sector will be key in driving AXA XL’s continued growth and success in Asia.
