Swiggy Introduces New Features for Food on Train Service Ahead of Festive Season

Swiggy on Thursday announced new features for its Food on Train service to make dining more convenient for passengers during the festive season. The service, available across more than 115 stations, now offers curated options such as City Best dishes, Easy Eats for quick meals, a Pure Veg section, and a new Offer Zone with over 30 deals.

The City Best feature highlights popular dishes from trusted local eateries at major railway stations, while Easy Eats provides neatly packed, travel-friendly meals complete with cutlery. For passengers who prefer vegetarian food or those observing fasts during Navratri, Swiggy has introduced a 100 per cent Pure Veg section. In addition, the Offer Zone gives travellers access to savings of up to 60 per cent at leading restaurants.

Deepak Maloo, Vice President of Food Strategy, Customer Experience and New Initiatives at Swiggy, said, “We’ve listened to what our customers want, and we’re excited to roll out smarter, more personalized food choices that make every journey delicious, convenient, and special. With City Best, Easy Eats, and Pure Veg, we’re ensuring every traveler finds the right meal with ease.”

The company also confirmed that the Food on Train page has been upgraded to enable faster ordering, even in locations with poor internet connectivity. These improvements are aimed at ensuring a smoother experience for travellers looking for quick, reliable, and affordable meal options while on the move.
